A question was asked about what Olamic Tactical/Olamic Cutlery can do with a knife. According to their twitter feed it seems like the answer is "pretty much anything you want"

Their Damascus steel is amazing. Outside of Olamic I haven't seen such crazy or artistic patterns. I'm sure a lot of bladesmiths have spent their lives trying to create Damascus that looks half as good.
What they're doing to pimp their knives and create stunning examples of what can be done is nothing short of amazing in multiple ways. Not only the materials used but the prices, customer service, and real quality control are genuinely stunning in today's marketplace.
[Removed paragraph that listed common complaints with known companies to keep the thread positive]
And then a breath of fresh air. Midtechs made in the US. Great customer support. Great materials. No history of deceit or IP theft. Reasonable (better than reasonable, TBH) prices. Great quality to where even the pickiest reviewer has a hard time finding any faults outside of personal preferences. New ideas like detent ramps and innovative finishing techniques. Easy to modify and customize to your preference. A true effort to create each piece as a unique offering if the customer so desires.
It's great to see this and hope the rest of the knife world follows. If they don't then I hope people vote with their dollars and push Olamic to the top as a thank you for giving people what they've been asking for: a good, unique knife that works, is worth showing off, doesn't cost an arm and a leg, absolutely backed up by the company, and made in America. They're hitting a lot of buttons that people have been screaming about. I like that and hope they start getting talked about a lot more. At the very least I hope they get popular enough to force the bar higher for the other knife manufacturers so we as consumers don't have to deal with some of these shoddy, lazy, or outright deceitful practices and price gouging in order to get something we want to carry.
