Olamic Wayfarer

Very nice looking knife. I wouldn't have thought I would like the rwb kirinite, but it definitely works on that knife.

I don't think I had heard of Olamic knives until I saw one in a post by Blues Bender. Those are some sweet looking blades. Out of my range right now though.:(

As far as I know, all of the folders are currently being made in the USA. Michael Vagnino regularly spends time in the shop helping/training etc. They did intially make them in Russia but I don't know which ones are which. They all have serial numbers so Eugene knows the history of each knife. Eugene is also probably one of the nicest guys in the industry.

This is correct. Only the first 25 or so units were made in Russia.
ALL other Wayfarers are 100% US-made.

Thanks for posting and clearing that up! I am excited to become a customer in the near future!

This knife is simply AMAZING!!! It's unlike anything I've handled before. Smooth does not do it justice! I couldn't be happier with this acquisition.

Congrats! I'm really curious about Olamic as well but I just cant seem to find "the one" either... I've seen the steel I want but not the body and the body without the steel. Sooo close!

Howes knife shop just got some beauties in.

Finally, received the Wayfarer I really wanted. Eugene never forgot about me and what I wanted even after no contact from late October 2014 to late February 2015! Incredible dedication and customer service! My example is all matte, plain CF with no inlays, titanium pivot and compound grind blade of CTS-B75P stainless steel.

Looks awesome, Ram! That new pivot and matte finish are super nice (and we all know I'd wear carbon fiber underoos if they made 'em).

Here's my first Wayfarer...got it last week. My initial impressions are as follows: My second Wayfarer will be here tomorrow. :D

EDIT: For those of you on the fence, buy one. If you are wondering why you don't see more of them, or hear more about them, it's no doubt because they are just getting started.

The Olamic Wayfarer is in its own class - and I'm not just throwing out a good catch phrase, it's literally in its own class. Full custom knife, any material you can think of, multiple blade grinds/finishes, options like file work and inlays, made one at a time, by hand, exclusively with high-end domestic materials, in the USA...for like $600. Eugene is my hero. :D

Love the Juma! I had a BM 710 with Juma as it reminded me of my viridis ventral scales. Had no idea you were Anthony of ACReptiles. We used to chat on MP back when it was alive and well, 2004-ish. Anyways, great addition!

Wow...small world! I remember you. That was back in the old days! Never saw the BM710 with juma, but I might have to look around for it.
