I wish to sell my Spyderco Sharpmaker System which I define as a complete kit because I have also added the UF rods (x 2) and also went with the CBN rods (x 2). I am NOT parting out this kit so please refrain from asking or conveying partial interest. If you only need bits and pieces of it, then you will have to buy the WHOLE kit and then sell what you do not want separately on your own!
Over all I describe the condition as very very lightly used and in EXCELLENT condition, in fact almost like-new! I have had tried less than a handful of knives and perhaps no more than maybe 50 passes or so (on one flat side only per stone set) all together on the Medium and the Fine stones. I tried one CBN rod once for a few passes but it was too aggressive for what I had in mind. I tried the same with one of the UF rods just to test the grit (probably the one that has the tube cap missing, the way which I had received it from BHQ!).
The DVD has never been opened --- The base kit does not come with the original packaging --- The M & the F stones in the base package show some ink marks because I had used a Sharpie to mark my edges to gauge their angles --- the stones are not warped and all are within Spyderco's specs ---
I bought this system in April of last year but the Sharpmaker is just not for me as I prefer freehand and the W.E. There is some good value in here for someone with more patience with the SM than me. FWIW, I have checked the current BHQ prices on the whole lot and what cost me over $140 back in the April of last year will cost over $150 today as the prices of the extra stones have increased.
Terms of sale:
1- NO TRADES please.
2- "I will take it" on here takes priority as far as time stamp goes, then followed by "start a conversation" which is the old PM routine. I will ask for your PayPal email address to invoice you, as I prefer this as opposed to you asking for my PP and sending me funds.
3- My decision as to whom I do business with is final. I don't hold onto my offerings for hours on end and if the transaction is not completed and funded within a timely manner, I will move onto other prospective buyers. Paid established members do get preference over registered members with very light Blade Forums footprint.
4- Any deal is truly a done deal when both parties are completely satisfied based on my exact, thorough and honest description. You may contact me within 24 hours of confirmed receipt if unsatisfied (I was on vacation, otherwise indisposed or any other delayed stories will not cut it. STRICTLY 24 hours from confirmed receipt!). I will NOT accept any returns if the system has been used, abused or simply due to buyer's remorse (in case of any returns for not as described reason, buyer is responsible for full return shipping fees in the same way it was received).
