A few years back, there was a flurry of interest in the knives of Jose Antonio Herreros here, even a thread, in which the Jose posted. I can't remember the last time I saw one of his knives here, but I have a couple, one of which is this Vendetta, which I'm carrying today - hoping I don't have to fight any deadly duels!

A few years back, there was a flurry of interest in the knives of Jose Antonio Herreros here, even a thread, in which the Jose posted. I can't remember the last time I saw one of his knives here, but I have a couple, one of which is this Vendetta, which I'm carrying today - hoping I don't have to fight any deadly duels!

Amazing rendition with a "palanquille" instead of a slip joint. That kind of lock is still very popular in Spain.

Thanks Alain, the last time I heard from Jose, he was struggling with his back, but his son was making knives

Not that I had anything to do with the blade shape, beyond grinding down an extravagant thumb ramp.

Good old knife, just needs a bit of cleaning and possibly sharpening.

Here is an great old hunting buddy friend of mine that I should carry more. There are actually a couple of them in the picture that need more belt time, but oh well. Sorry for the rough picture, I am not quite a photographer like some of you all are! I dont know if sheath knives are allowed here, but I had to show the old Blackjack 125 some love.

I didn't think much of it when I put it away, but every time I look at it I'm astonished at how well I did on really quite a lot of it. Those pins are finishing nails that I peened without splitting the rosewood.
