"Old Knives"

Lots of steel on those knives, Charlie. Great grindage! I've always liked the Case slim jacks (Don Hanson replicated it) but didn't know Schrade did them as well until now.

Thanks Paul T., Rob and Mike for your nice comments on my PocketEze Whittler!!

Beautiful group of stockman matchstrike Schrades Paul T  EdisD, great old Hawkbill:thumbsup: Charlie those are two beautiful svelte Schrade Cut ”slim Jim” folders:thumbsup:

Here is another PocketEze stockman/serpentine pattern special purpose ”woodcraft” folder. Handles are a deep brown jigged bone. Please note the etch are logs spelling Woodcraft and the rear secondary blade is a chisel or gouge. It is in pristine condition and shows no evidence of use. 3 & 5/8 inches closed.

I think this thread and the Sheffield in its hey day thread are probably the two best things on the Internet. Amazing little pieces of living history on show here. In a mad and crazy world there is something reassuring about a quality made old knife!

Speaking of which:)

What a joy it is to keep in that little jeans pocket.

Lloyd, the woodcraft is an absolutely fantastic knife. Robeson’s had stunning bone and such good quality; they truly were a great american manufacturer.

I have this little robeson cattle knife. If I remember right it has half stops on all blades. I like it very much, a nice knife.

LOVE those Charlie,
Heres the Stabber I mentioned, Please accept my apologies, 😞 I mentioned that this Stabber Jack was one of a very few that it was produced in a handful of numbers and presented for a Govt. SFO, I got mixed up with a Camillus Stabber that is the SFO, not this Robeson below.

Very much like this Knife! Same Handle material as our good mate Charlies wonderful HJ above ^

I forget the consensus regarding who made this Globe. Do you see the DNA in it?
