Oh my, that Miller Bros may be the perfect jack knife. They’re both great but that one really does it for me.
Great stuff, Augie, as always . . . I still wanna see that time machine!
You've done it again, John! Heartbreakingly great old knives!!Couple more jacks for the pile. A 3 3/8" HSB pick bone with a clip main, the swedge on the main is interesting in that its sort of rolled on the mark side and sharp on the pile side. I think the knife was made by New York Knife Co.
Other is a nice large just over 3 3/4" Miller Bros ebony jack, pretty close to jumbo jack size. Knife has had little use, pretty nice shape for its age.
John two great additions to your collection! You sure know how to find themI love
these old knives !!!
Sorry about your grandfather, RN!! I'm sure you can call his knife old!! I would wrestle with whether to use it or not; but then enjoy using it as a tribute to Grandpa!!View attachment 2370283View attachment 2370284
So got this recently from my late grandfather. Was found in some of his stuff as we were cleaning things out. Still new in box.
Looking at the tang stamp from the 80s. Not sure if that counts as “old” for this forum
