"Old Knives"

I was just "chatting" to Jeff in the Sears Thread page 16 about Stainless after I posted a Camillus Stainless Knife, so I thought I would look up for the photos of mine.

I cannot believe with collecting Knives, that when you rediscover many of them- it's like you first opened the box all over again, just look at the Swage work and workmanship on these Camillus Stainless Co New York City Knives.
I remember chatting to Roland about these and he was saying that these were Creme De La Creme of Camillus's work at that time.

Wow what a great lineup of Jack Knives!

Ulster, noted for its skilled cutlers, produced this old Pen/Gents knife with all the bells and whistles!! Rattail bolsters, end caps, sculptural swedges, satisfying walk and talk, and nicely selected and fitted Stag, all in 2 7/8"!!! Sigh!!!!
I put John Lloyd's knife (3 1/8") in the picture, because it has an "Old Soul" and, has some of his better crafting as well!! Please enjoy!!Curved gents 1.jpgCurved gents 2.jpgCurved gents 3.jpg

Love them Charlie, the Lloyd does have an "Old Soul", looks like old Sheffield.

Empire started in 1856, and was incorporated in 1858, in West Winsted, Connecticut. They moved, but their early stamping was W.Winsted, like this small Jack!!
West Winsted was eventually incorporated into Winsted, and so disappeared!!
This little orphan could be quite old, but barely used!! It is only 2 15/16" long!!!Boys knife W.W.jpgBoys knife W.jpg
