That's a real cool looking knife, now would I whittle with it?Interesting old Catt!! Only 3 1/16" long, but set up like a full sized whittler, not a manicure knife!!! It has wedged, split springs, and it has ink on the main blade!!!
A Cattaraugus Cutler with fine fingers made this one!! My thuggish fingers can barely make sense of this beautiful knife!!

Charlie, I'd gladly send you the knife for some chicken eye'd coon fingering. Who knows, maybe it would give you some ideas for a future collab!I'd like to CE and CF that knife!! Interesting subtle details!!
Found a Camillus 3 line easy opener, decent shape with remnants of an acid Easy Opener etch which is not as common as the Sword Brand etch.

I'm struggling to find what the difference was in dye used in the early traditional knife making when it was so deep dark and rich compared to today,I can't help but think that one of the older processes has been deemed an environmental Hazzard,or maybe they did the jigging and then saturated the bones in drums for a few weeks i dont know, but it sure is different.Found a Camillus 3 line easy opener, decent shape with remnants of an acid Easy Opener etch which is not as common as the Sword Brand etch.

Never have I seen one.......NYKCo. 4 1/8in Rope knife. The blade grind is interesting. The Show side has a swedge while the pile side is flat ground.

Surprised how many are not familiar with this cotton knife, how old approximately is it and was it made in really small numbers, because with its size and shape it would be hard to forget, actually 4.25 isn't really that big.Never have I seen one.......
Until now![]()
Beauty of a tuxedo, Duncan!!William Rodgers "I cut my way"
Beautiful.
I wish MAM still offered (or would bring back) carbon steel blades.
Charlie that little Catt is a stunner - love everything about it, and it's in incredible condition!- Wow!
Augie that Miller Bros is a beauty, that Swedge!!
As well that Easy opener!! What a gorgeous Knife my friend, early Camillus had some outrageous Bone didn't they!
Dan, that Keen Kutter sure is fine! Nice work between you and Mike there!
I saw these stunning Tuxedo's being shown and it sparked a memory, so I searched through my photo's, Found this one....
Pre Ban, Tuxedo, it's within darkness so hard to get right now, I haven't had this one out for some time so finding it may be a chore, I would guess the same approx length as the others shown here?
