"Old Knives"

I did some digging and found a post where BRL called the brown version abalone pearl celluloid. This makes your Utica green abalone pearl celluloid. According to BRL, waterfall celluloid is very similar but only came in white.
Thanks !

Barry W., from whom I received this knife, called it abalone pearl celluloid and I believe him. The old Schrade CutCo catalogs did not always give a name to every one of the celluloid variations, sometimes calling them "assorted." I do have one or more examples of the celluloid mentioned in this thread a couple posts back; I will try to track one down.

Does this one look right? This particular example is obviously not the 'marine pearl' color from the catalog cut.

Those are really nice examples. After I found the old thread where BRL called it abalone pearl celluloid the name was settled for me.

I found a big brother to my little W.H. Morley Lobster!
It's a 4 inch framed Hen & Rooster, with a wide file and cool old tang stamp. Just a few little cracks in the pearl but otherwise in okay shape.

Nice Rachel, looks the same other than size, good find.

Recently picked this one up and I'm looking to see if anyone has any information on it. 4 line tang stamp camillus, sleeveboard whittler, brass liners, measures about 3 1/4 inches closed. It also has a very faded etch on the main blade that barely reads "Old Honesty."

It came in pretty good condition, flushed the joints, cleaned it up a little and sharpened the blades. I've become smitten with it. The bone is beautiful, I love the bar shield, and the blades still have plenty of life in them with good snap.

Nice knife. I don’t have any info to contribute but I find it unusual to see a manicure blade on a knife that size. With the manicure blade I wouldn’t call it a whittler.

It could be an eraser blade, used before "White Out" was invented, and fountain pens were "king".
Still ... It would not be of much use when whittlin.
