Harry

You definitely got that in Oregon last year, but I couldn’t tell you anything beyond that. 😁

Here’s a Hibbard, Spencer, Bartlett & Co. Daddy Barlow I picked up at the Badger show this weekend. I don’t know a ton about these, so any info would be appreciated. I mostly figured the spearpoint would go well with the clip point Keen Kutter I picked up at the show (from the same guy, in fact) a couple years back!

Harry and Barrett, nice scores my friends:)👍👍👍

Everything about it is just as it should be: long pull main, mark side regular pull secondary, properly swedged, beautifully inlet shield, and that oh so beyond gorgeous jigged bone!

Added a decent Ulster made W. Bingham Co. jack that still has a good etch, Bingham's Best Brand. Bingham's was a hardware store started in Cleveland OH in 1841, closed in 1961.

It sure checks all the boxes!

That Schrade CutCo would love to do a blade tease!

Very slight remnants of etch on main: “Diamond…” Pitting on pile side. I purchased this one on the Exchange from black mamba black mamba who undoubtedly knows more than I do about it. I love the old butter and molasses cell. I carry and use it!

Quick question did all celluloid off gas.
Some never did. Most old Remingtons and Schrades with Celluloid are still intact. so is French ivory seemingly very stable on several brands! A lot of German, and some Case Celluloid has gassed off!! I suspect it has to do with the process of making it, and treatment, but I'm no chemist!!
I sent two larger Case knives back to the factory with deteriorated white Cell handles and they rehandled them in Delrin, under lifetime warranty!!!! Over 20 years ago now!! (Both traded off long ago!!)
Some French Ivory still intact, except for the first two knives!!B&G fldr group 1.jpg

That's pretty cool that you were able to send back the case to have them repaired in delrin, wonder how many people
Took advantage of that.
