Thanks guys! Here's another one (pix aren't as good, tho') - the first one was a sterile blade; this one is marked:

John Nowill & Sons
Sheffield England
Established A.D. 1700

Notice also that this one doesn't have the scalloping or groove on the blade, but it does have it's sheath.

There's something about Miller Bros. bone - its just so fantastic - every Miller Bros. I have seen is the same - just a great knife!

That's an older one I'd say Edward VII 1901-1910. Nice stamping and a fine Rat-Tail on that beauty too!

That's a very decent looking jack knife Charles, on reflection I too think it maybe Edwardian (ER VII). I can't remember offhand when Rodgers closed down their Norfolk St works, think it was about 1930 ?
Residual materials including blades marked with 'No6 Norfolk Street' would still have been used after that date though..

Absolutely stunning Ulster-What a beautiful, stunning knife! That's some of the BEST Stag I have seen. The J.R is pretty much a knife that stops you in your tracks-well done Charles!!

l2d, that I*XL is just awesome-what an era making knives.
 
Thanks Duncan. The stag on the lobster is what compelled my purchase, just love that soft golden look.
