"Old Knives"

A couple of old stag beauties, the top one is a 3.5" E.C.Simmons Keenkutter Curved Jack and the 2nd one is a 4" Union Cut. Co. Regular Jack. Both have very nice stag, nickel silver bolsters, and full blades.

Beautiful old Stag nice knives Kerry. Look to Shiney for you and Waynorth better send to me I like them like that!!

Look how beautifully that stag is fitted!! Nice examples:thumbup:! Curved jacks are pretty rare, compared to regulars. That regular is almost a teardrop! Is it my old eyes, or is there a slight inward curve on the sides??
Great knives and pics, Tony and Kerry.

Another I pulled out of storage. Note the sawblade shield and that one of the secondary blades is a file. One side of the main blade is etched Simmons Saw & Steel Co. and the other is etched AWS Files & Hacksaws. Picture sucks...sorry.

What a delightful surprise it is to get a package in the mail with such a neat piece of hometown history. Thanks "CNasty" Campbell!

This is a fairly rare stamp, The Will Roller Ball Company of Terre Haute operated in the 1920's.

I'm pretty sure New York Knife Co. made that one, Vince, putting it pre-1931. I have that shield on three NYK made knives, one with the older non-Hammer Brand marking, so it may be early. Could precede WWI, but I can't confirm that.

That HJ has an Alvord (Empire) punch Campbell. I have often wondered if Empire made knives for Miller Bros. or if Empire just sold their punches. You find a lot of different brands with them, and Empire was very prolific, but so far, no confirmation of either has turned up. That's a nice example!
