Very nice old Cases Wazu - did you buy this one new with the box, a while back, or run across it later - it looks to be unused??:thumbup::)

Thank you Gevo and Gary for your nice comments on my old Peanut pictures.:)

your pics are just amazing - especially for such an old fella, I am wondering how you manage to hold your eye glass and walking stick at the same time-as well as hold the camera? :D:D
The camera must have a great anti-shake option!::eek::D

i think I may need one of them myself actually!

Thank you Primble:)
The box is just a prop for the picture. The knife is mint. It came to me via an estate sale in 1991. I was able to buy several knives there as a walk up. Those were the days.

Very good - it is a beauty.:)

I see you are from the deep south - I would not let that Campbellclanman talk to me that way, if I were you - I would back him down !!:mad::mad:

I will loan you my cane, if needed!! :D

P.S. - Just in case that Zlander was talking to me - I lay my reading glasses down and use the camera diopter when taking pictures and wedge the cane between me and a concrete wall and then put my glasses back on to re-arrange my knives, and - well - you get the picture ??? No anti shake technology on my lenses!! :grumpy::grumpy:

:D:D

Marshall Wells Zenith. If you look close you can find the etch. 4" closed and built like a rock with milled back. Supposed NYKC contract knife. Love this thing!

I don't know about you but he sort of hit the nail on the head for this Old Man ;)

Lol Wazu Sir- I was actually directing my polite comments to Primble- the problem is when using my I phone all sorts of things happen- most probably because I'm there myself as well!!

What a stunner, Jamie!! And at 4 inches closed makes it even better. Thanks for sharing this one...wow!!

Oh Yes Primble!...that is a absolute corker of a Case -well done Wazu!

Blademans Marshall Wells is just an outstanding knife!... Jamie I can instantly see why you love that knife! just a gorgeous piece!

I really like the Case folding hunter and Jamie's Marshall Wells. As Gevonovich wrote, that's a lot of nice knife there!

I've been away from the board for the most part for a while, but was thrilled to see all the wonderful 'old' knives posted when I got back online tonight to catch up.

Jack - The Fleam you posted is incredible and very interesting. It looks to be a museum quality example. I must say that I'm happy that medicine has advanced significantly since its manufacture though. And while I don't consider myself a cutlery scholar, I did enjoy the old magazine article.

ISK - Terrific old Jumbo Cigar, and the Battle Axe trademark is just perfect.

Jamie - your Marshall Wells is absolutely stunning and aptly named (Zenith - a highest point or state).

Primble - Wow! Not one, but two of the finest Peanuts I've ever seen and you know that I love the name you chose for the old '40 -'64 version. :D

Duncan - Nice to see that you've been keeping our friend Primble on his toes while I've been away. ;)

wazu013 - Lovely collection of old Case knives you posted.

Aaaah Stephen, welcome back kind Sir - where have you been? Primbles been whittling away at me...Im nearly done!!
