"Old Knives"

Here's another recent pickup. It's obviously got some shrinkage issues, but a great old Valley Forge nevertheless. The covers have a swirl in them that moves as you move the knife up and down. You can kind of see that happening in the picture. Neat! It's a fun one to carry.

Super unique piece and great looking to boot, Glenn! Unique blade set as well. Excellent in my book. Thanks for the look and congrats on the find:D:thumbup:

Glenn your Valley Forge is an wonderful example of skilled cutlers at their best. This was obviously a top line knife when it was made and sold. Congrats on a wonderful addition to your collection! :)

Here is Case XX USA 1965-1969 production, nice red bone scales and razor sharp.
My photos dont do justice with the knife

Mike, nice Case, the Case red bone is my favorite of all the bone handles, such a variety of color.

Here is a 70's red bone swing guard, hard to believe these Case's are 40 to 50 years old now.

Thanks Augie good looking bone. It is interesting that no maker, even case, could not produce this fantastic bone color.

Here's some more green bone from the very beginning of the XX era, note the corn cob jigging and lack of a pattern number. Rare bird this one!
