"Old Knives"

Nice budding knife, shows great honest age and use!

I was just admiring your knife in the other thread Robin. Hard to keep up here recently, some beautiful old knives being shown

Nick, that bone reminds me of an Ulster I have. I have said the same as you did,it looks like a precursor to the old Schrade peachseed.

Here's mine:

Wow, you really hit the nail on the head Lyle. They definitely look a lot alike, thanks so much for the comparison pic and beautiful Ulster you've got there!!!

Hey JD, you should be able to buy a package of meat scewers at the grocery store, about 100 for a couple of bucks.

Best regards

Robin

Thanks for the tip....

How you like this one?....

Anyone know anything about either of these?
The 4 line looks like really dark blood red bone in pics....I've not got them yet,on the way...
They both look pretty full blades, you think?
Thanks for any input, more pictures upon arrival,
JD

Glad to have this to add to my Catt collection. There is a picture and description of it in my 1930's Cattaraugus Catalog, where they call it the famous Whitt-L-Craft. :)

Thank you Ron, Augie, and Jamie.:)

Primble,If I may ask?.....What do you use to make that
bone so beautiful on your knives?...Is it a polish,or just your camera?
Anyway,they're always so pristine covers......
What type camera do you use?....ETC???

Thanks for your reply,
JD
