"Old Knives"

The easiest for me is Goins Encyclopedia of Cutlery Markings for IDing ,and it's not expensive.

thanks again as i do not like asking questions, would rather find my own answers.
but sometimes i just can't find any info...it seems as google has
changed for the worst too,or maybe it's just me.

That's a nice looking old Robeson. Full blades.

I cannot see the stamp, but I'd put it in the 1910's or 20's.

I have a similar sabre-cut Robeson jack, but it's a PocketEze with flush sunk blades.

Some nice knives shown and fun to see the Christmas tree knife display by T. Erdely.

Imperial gets a bit of a bad rap in being considered one of the lower end knife companies. While that may be true for the post WWII models, Imperial made some pretty darn good knives prior to WWII. Enclosed is a well made cattle pattern with nice jigged bone handles and is stamped "Imperial (over) Prov. RI.". This stamp type is listed as being used from 1936 to 1952 but Imperial seemed to have stopped using natural handles materials (in favor of celluloid shell wraps) by 1941, which should make this model fall into the 1936 to 1940 range.

Nice cattle knife Herder, early Imperial knives with bone scales are great knives, especially those with IKCO tang stamp.

Nice Jake!! both that way-cool Box AND the knives!!! Interesting those two knives - the Bone is very near the same - in the way of the style of Jigging but the difference of Hammered Pins and Spun.

Here's a C Lutters lockback whittler. Unfortunately, the screwdriver (pen blade ;) ) is broken. But it's an uncommon pattern to find in any condition. The spear and coping blades appear to be full with the factory edges. Stag covers.

That knife is a dream piece, Jake! The original TB lockback whittler:eek:

Beautiful lock back, Jake! Tough one to find, I agree.

Nothing special, but a pretty nice Remington stockman just the same
