"Old Knives"

Ask....and ye shall receive hehehehehe....:D

Kutmaster - with very nice Bone- this Bone looks like the Bone used on the Winchester series of knives- correct me if I am wrong were these not made with Left over stocks from the Utica Factory?
Solid Knife!

Slightly elusive name "Enderes" Goins has them existing only between 1926-1926 - Beautifully made Knife, Black composite Scales....

An old Delicate Favourite I bought some time ago from a friend- I am sure he will recognize it.... a superb Jack all round - Ulster Knife Co. NY

A superb knife in every way - you would swear this F.A Koch & Co was Schrades early Peach Seed....Koch a German company will have F.A Koch, Germany stamped on their knives, this knife has F.A.Koch, & Co, NY. Nice to know - the Germany based company also had knives made for them in the United States in the earlier days ( Goins )...

Gorgeous Bone scaled Imperial - anyone who said these knives were cheaply made- needs to handle this knife, I want to watch their face lol....

Now help me out here my friends, it's either Camillus or sears that used the tang Stamp "Made in the USA" and thats it?...
Two beautifully made knives, on ex salesman - -just superbly built and lookers at that!...very tidy examples....

Speaking of Camillus.....

Miller Bros. Jack still has the etch on the Main - nice Jack! Drop Dead typical Miller Bros. Bone that leaves you panting for more!!!

Schrade built Ulster - would you believe gifted to me by my Buddy ........ I know....i know...how could you let this sweetheart slip from your fingers??? I do worry for my friend at times  :D

A couple of very nice EO's....

Heres a beauty of a Jack - Wooden Handled - this was gifted to me when I bought the HJ Brother to this- amazing I know - my friend I know and you know who you are - not forgotten - note the faint Fox on the Blade.. Fox Cutlery, quite an older knife now in great condition....

This knife needs no introduction, it takes the Floor on it's own..... another reason why I worry about my friend ;)

Quite a beautiful Knife- in fact a Real Beauty - ( I had to let it out )...

Sports all the High- End Bling, Challenge Cutlery Stamped Jack -

Next, a real favourite of mine, I bought this off Mr Hilborn a few yaers back - He actually had two - this was the slightly used version and he had one that must have been VERY tidy - Paul thought I got that one- but I didnt so someone out there did- was it you- be great to hear from you if you have the brother to this....
Electric Cut Co Walden NY.... slightly rare knife as the company only used WALDEN in their stamping between 1910 UNTIL 1920 )
I LOVE everything about this Beautiful Jack...

Wards... I would swear this is the "Utica Bone"...Beautifully built Knife in every way....

Massive Ka-Bar Stag jack...

Quite a few Older Barlows, shown in the first photo of my latest photo run in the "What makes a Good,Traditional Barlow?" Thread..

Sheffield never ceased to supply splendid knives......

Swedges so finely cut......

A slightly more modern Stockman, again Sheffield, Intersting this knife- I actually really like this knife, as I do with most C.J's....

Two interesting Sheffields, The top you could mistake as being older - but this knife ( top ) is actually Stainless, and Stamped England, the knife below is one of my all time loves, this is one that Sue bought for me not knowing what it is, it turns out to be an extremely Old Humphries Radiant Carbon Steel Beauty - I carry this at times, it came with scratches from sharpening - but the actions, and just everything about this honey of a knife is just amazing...sharpens to an absolute Scalpel!!!

Big Boys come out to Play

Sheffield Workers at their best...
Big heavy Rope knife by ENCORE T.Turner (circa 1805 - 1890 ) - This Knife is extremely good at producing spare fingers....

The other Monster is Harrison Bros & Howson Sheffield ( circa approx late 1800's very early 1900's )..again Bear Trap stuff here Whew!!

You just have to love them Stove Pipes!!!

I took this photo for Charlies Thread "Prune big or go home " love that title!!...
A few new ones arrived including a STUNNING Remington -
Left to right...

oops got the names mixed - will have to verify a bit later....

OH Duncan, what a great collection. One of the best I've seen.
Thank you my for taking the trouble to post and comment on the photos.

I agree with all you said, indeed the Kutmaster bone looks like Utica. Reminds me of an old Utica EO I had.

They are all great top notch knives, but there is one that for me is slightly stepping ahead , the Humphries Radiant.

I'd be very happy person to carry something like this in my pocket. Sue has great instincts

Mike

Haha Mike, Thank you my friend forever your comments are so gracious - thank you!

I will start on the HJ thread in a few days time, Paul has quite a few Old Knives at his house that I will go through when I go over for the Rendezvous!

But in the meantime lol......

Beautiful Old Keen kutter Sleevboard, Etch still intact, with beautiful bone, superbly built knife, Swedge work when you look close is just lovely..

Pictured here with it's Brother, again etch intact....

Now this knife here had more play going on than a Kindergarten at Lunchtime - so Mr Glenn Badd got his hands on it- manged to pull it all apart, save the old Wooden Handles which I am over the moon about and gave this knife newlife- its a old time Fav of mine...

I really Love these wee Gentleman's Pocket knives, some of the work is quite outstanding..... as it is on this Winchester.....

And the workmanship on this DE - this wee knife has all the bells and whistles - milled liners, Swedges so beautifully done - you name it - superbly built..

Sorry guys- hey...you asked..

Here is a very early Sheffiled, Quite Rare where it has original Thumb Studs to pop the blade out... my apologies as I cannot remmeber the Stampings - but it turns out Joseph Rodgers made knives for the firm( retail )....and it is an exquisitely made knife!
