Thanks for looking, Lloyd

Nice knives, Lloyd!
Please bring those (and others!) to Oregon, so we can CF and CE them!!

Thanks Charlie! I hate to bring knives on the airplane because I am always so concerned about theft or loss. If I was driving I would. This year I may just send my acquisitions home via USPS Priority/Insured like Perry use to do. A couple of years ago my suitcase (with my vintage treasure) did NOT arrive with my flight and I had to go back to the airport the next day to see if they had found it. They did but I didn't sleep much that night before returning nervously to the airport. Counting down the days to the big event:D. Lloyd

Wow Lloyd, such great knives you find, blades are covers are great, such wonderful bone of the Bridge Cutlery Co:cool::thumbup:

Lloyd, you certainly found some treasures there. I can't decide which I like more, that Bridge Cutlery Jack is amazing. Thanks for sharing.

Edit: what Paul said. :)

Wow Lloyd, 3 more outstanding finds!!! The equal end jack has me hopping up and down just lookin at it!!! Great color, full blades and I think rattail bolsters are a weakness of mine. Thanks for sharing them with us. -James

Lloyd.
I can only repeat what the others gave said. Amazing beautiful knives.
I envy you heavily going to Oregon Knife Show. That will be my next one after the Rendezvous!
The Camillus and Bridge Cutlery Jack are Stunners- the Bridge has just simply gorgeous Bone- lovely heavy Rats-Tailed Bolsters - oh where do you stop!!!
That Robeson is an outstanding piece of Cutlery as well- and could easily be overlooked when displayed with such knives as that Bridge, and that would be a real Shame because my goodness that Robeson is an absolutely amazing knife- in fact a knife that when made would have been one of the better knives obtainable of that time!

Like Charlie- I personally would love to see those " in the flesh".

Thank you Lloyd.

Thanks Paul, GasMan, James, Jamie, Duncan and Jack for your kind and generous comments on these three folders!

Duncan wish you and Paul could make it to the OKCA show in April! In fact, I wish all you guys here on this thread could make it to this show:thumbup: I know, easy for me to say I am just a two hour plane ride away. it would just be so great to meet all you hard core collectors in person and further our friendships which started for most of us right here on this traditional forum:joyous::joyous: Lloyd

Lloyd, I agree with you on how great it would be to meet you and so many here. To chicken eye and coon finger so many great vintage knives, do a bit of horse trading, learn more about this passion we all share over a wonderful meal would be such a great time.

We could all work on a plan to get Duncan and Sue to move state side so we could get closer to his knives:D;)

A couple nice sheepfoot/pen Jacks arrived today. A Challenge Cutlery Co and Remington. Halfs stops on both, solid blades, some minor blade loss and looks to me that the Challenges main was altered a bit. Both sport great bone covers:cool:

The Remington's tang stamp although pretty worn dates c1920-1940 and the Challenge tang stamp is c1905-1928. Both in terrific shape with years of life left. The Challenge Sway Back is pictured on top, Remington below:thumbup:

Oh my!!!! Paul those are outstanding knives my friend!! Both as you say are Stunners but that Challenge!!!
The first two Photos are spectacular and show just how amazing the skill and Quality of the Jigging is actually quite spellbinding- I'm going to go and have another look.

Magnificent, Paul. I love the way the Challenge spring pin is relieved within the jigging pattern rather than just drilled out. I agree on the main as well; looks like it lost the very tip somewhere along the way, but still a wonderfully full blade. Awesome bone on both!

That swayback is fantastic. Actually they're both fantastic, but that swayback is extra fantastic. Why can't I ever find stuff like that?

Duncan, Jeff and Aaron, thank you, I appreciate your kind comments:thumbup:

So fun to find and then handle past treasures, drop them in a pocket for continued use:thumbup: the Challenge is a more robust knife of the two, yet the Remington's bone covers are so smooth it's a joy to pass between fingers like a worry stone;)

Those both are something to behold Paul . If I was to choose between one or the other , it would be very difficult . I have had to go back over them a bunch of times just to marvel in their appearance .
