Ridiculous price means, that you keep your offers to pm or take it to the exchange please :)
Keep in mind that the Southard spacers were made years ago and in very limited quantities, so they are not cheap...but then again, it's not cheap to make either.
In either case, please take it to pms.

Thank you, bhyde, it has been a while for sure.
It seems like yesterday that I sat down with Chris at his shop and had another good long conversation about the knife world and just life in general.
That was probably about 2009 and boy how things have changed.

To put some perspective to that time/space continuum the one piece knives, pictured above, were in racks all over the place.
 
It's funny that people are so interested in these. While they are aesthetically pleasing, I was sitting here pissed that they improved it with an over travel stop, easier pivot, and better thumb relief. I have one of the very early released originals, and never even carried it. The thumb pad on the lock bar always bothered me. I guess I'll just keep sitting on it.
 
I had one of the very earliest versions and it actually didn't stay long. I really didn't like the lack of thumb access. I gave it another look before they added the over-travel stop and changed the pivot and like that version so well that I bought a pair of them that amazingly were made on the same day (they came from dealers a couple of thousand miles apart).
 
Amazing how pics of screws, washers, lock interface could be so absolutely stunning. Thanks for sharing again. Just great pics.
 
I am also looking to buy a old style pivot. But i would like to have the lock stop as well. Does anyone know how hard this will be to find? Did they make them for some time and there are plenty out there or should i just pick up a new one.

There are plenty of them out there.. just not too many people that want to sell at the moment. Much like my sig that gets ignored as well as a want to buy ad or two.
Somewhat frustrating.
