"What are you going to do with that old rotten maple burl?"
That is the question I was asked by my co-workers when I took this piece over to my work area. Little did they know the treasure hidden within.
These blocks have been stabilized with Resinol 90C using a Dry Vacuum Pressure Impregnation system. They have been heat cured for maximum durability.
The photos show the wood lightly misted with water so you can get an idea how it will look finished. With burl there may be small voids or bark pockets that may require a dab of epoxy if they are not trimmed away when shaping your handle.
#R33 SOLD$30 5.25"x2"x1.25"
#R34SOLD $30 5.25"x2"x1.25"
#R35SOLD $30 5.25"x2"x1.25"
#R36SOLD $20 4"x2"x1.25"
Just pick out the ones you want and post the #s in this thread. That way nobody will buy them out from under you.
Free shipping in the US. These blocks come with a no questions asked, money back guarantee.
A word of advice; when you finish your knife don't call the handle rotten maple burl. The customers will prefer you to call it spalted maple burl. But then, it's up to you.
