Since I just figured out how to post pics and got a few Old Timer fixed blades up on the forum I thought I'd share another favorite. I've had this knife forever. It has no blade play at all and is smooth and tight all around. This one doesn't get carried as much as it used to but was my EDC for years.

AH! 34OT one of the greatest EDCs of all time. My first Schrade and still a favorite.

It was the daily edc of my 94 year old grandfather for years until he lost his last year. I've been wanting one for a long time but dragged my feet on buying one and then Schrade USA went out of business. I still see them pop up on fleabay but the price is outrageous. :D

I know what you mean. I just payed a lot for a Sharpfinger for the same reason.

Ah... the Schrade Sharpfinger. A beautiful design that's easy to customize. Here are a couple I rehandled in elk stag and mammoth ivory; sold the stag(s) but still have the mammoth iv.

Wow; those are sweet. Someday I'd like to have either a rehandled Sharpfinger or a very similar custom. For now the budget doesn't allow for it. I am looking for a nicer sheath than the one mine came in though. Maybe something IWB.

Good post.

This one's in my pocket everyday. It just might be on the way to being my all-time favorite:

David yours is an older one... late 70's or early 80's. The Schrade NY USA stamp followed the Schrade Walden NY USA stamp for 10 years or so. It would probably have been one that came in the larger two piece brown boxes with a white sleeve. There are a few stamped like that with a matchstrike nail nick too.

Here are a few with some earlier stamps. Older ones had 8OT on the back side.

That 8OT is a classic!

Here are a few variations:

The knife on the far left is a Belknap Hardware / Primble #935. The Schrade-Walden variation isn't shown in this picture.

This is another Primble 935, but with a Craftsman blade:

There was also an 8OT made with blue handles for the FFA.

I think Old Timers are Great! fantastically made, and underated of just how much-a-knife they were/are.
I have several Old Timers, I like these two, the Mint Black early-ish Old timer by far my favourite!

Man, you guys have some beauties. Someday when funds allow I'm going to try to get one in such good shape. The one I have seems like it's built for the long haul, so I guess there's no hurry.
