Old Timers, Did you play Zorro as a kid.

I was a pretty imaginitive little tike.

I didn't carve "Z's", I wrote the word "Ford". I've always been a huge Star Wars fan, and that made me a Harrison Ford fan, I thought he was the complete epitome of a badass. So I carved his name with my little keychain pocket knife on the wood paneling of our house, doors, walls, and everyday at snack time I'd write "Ford" on a piece of paper and make a very neat, tight container for it out of my empty juicebox, cracker wrapperts and so on while the teacher read to us so that the paper inside would survive the dreaded trash compactor. Hah.

I also made K'nex guns with my buddy Chris to play X-files, and my friend Matt and I made K'nex virtual reality visors to pretend to be in some show we had seen.

Branching off of my Harrison Ford fascination, I also thought the Indiana Jones charactor was a great sangfroid embodiment of the great Han Solo man, so I made "whips" out of sweatpant waistbands, shoe strings, and rope to loop around the house and at one point I hurt myself pretty badly when I decided to try to swing across the "chasm" between our steep backyard hill and the goat fence. Yeah...

Those were definitely the good old days. It's amazing how easily amused I was, I wish I wasn't so jaded :( :o :D
