I'm impressed with how civil this thread is considering the level of frustration people obviously have on the topic.
One of the other things that impresses me about some of the members of BF is their willingness to let go of something if you post a WTB ad.
I had a someone not so long ago that was willing to let go of a new in bag Esky Zulu for a really decent price when I posted the WTB ad.
His or her only stipulation was that he would sell as long as I was not a flipper. Fair request in my mind..I don't sell knives too often in the exchange but sell a few doo-dads that I make here and there. On the knives, it's almost always at a loss. See rental fee. Easier for me to justify when I look at how long I have had the item I am selling and what use I got out of it.

Yep - actually did post a WTB for a GEC Talon and had a nice guy contact me about trading for his. I don't have much but offered up a TC Barlow in ebony. He had one already so no soap, but it was a pleasant little exchange. Lots of nice folks on the forums.
