I have dealt with Oli on 3 occasions now, all have been trades !!

What more can I say other than the guy is a legend, our first trade he practically had the knife in the postal services as soon as we agreed the terms. The second came very promptly and I commented on the sheath not being the best fit for the knife in question, he has (much to my embarrasment) had a custom sheath made for the blade. He said he wants me to be completely happy with the trade and would not take no for an answer. We are still in the process of doing our third trade and I know I will deal with Oli many times in the future.

I recommend Oliver Plomion to everyone as he is one of the good guys and a pleasure to know !!

:)

Bonjour

I DO NOT recommend dealing with Olivier Plomion.
:barf:

I am really upset with his behavior as he did not fullfill a deal I did with him 5 months ago.
Further to a discussion he agreed to keep a knife (a Tops Trakker) for me and even sent me an email one week ago to confirm and request me to wait a little bit longer .
(I can back up my statement if needed)

I was so confident and trustfull in this long awaited deal, I was even going to write an article for a French knives Magazine (La passion des couteaux) about Camp Knives (Fallkniven A2, Trakker, Hollow Handles knives...). The editor was aware of this future article , I started various and furious tests with Fred Perrin in his Forest ...

As per a coincidence Fred told me yesterday that he've seen Olivier Plomion trading the Tops Trakker away to a well known shop in Paris.
I needed to check it first and I called today the owner of the shop, my friend, Isidore,: this was all true.
Isidore was aware of the deal between Me and Olivier and Fred Perrin gently told him.

SO ....
"Thank you so much " Olivier Plomion. For not standing by your commitment !

After that, could you recommend to anybody on the Net to deal with that guy ???
He could have called me or emailed me first instead of having this kind of behavior .
I've been dealing/trading/buying over seas on the Internet since 1996 and I have never been disappointed . There is always a start ... and the only one I've met is Olivier. It is a shame really as the knife world is so small .

The direct impact is on the article I was going to write. I've also declined other trading opportunities for others 'Tops Trakker' !!!

Anyway, I will give another chance to olivier if he is willing to contact me .
Until that, I'm and will be unforgiven !!!

Thats funny, I have been waiting for my Tops Tracker that I purchased from Oli 3 weeks ago? Not placing blame because overseas shipping can take a while, Oli said it would take about 2 weeks, but this concerns me. I know Oli is away from the computer , but if anyone can get ahold of him I would like to make sure my knife was shipped. Like I said Oli has a great rep. and I am not placing blame, I am just a little curious.

I am not curious anymore. Oli was selling some knives on KF and nobody that has paid for them has received them. I have filed with paypal for a refund.

Hi guys, I have a great respect for Oli and his dealings so far, he has been nothing but honest. I know that he is involved in a very long distance move right now and hopefully will be back online soon in order to explain and defend any misunderstandings. I know personally that he would not take anyones money, he is not a thief. Also to defend his recent dealings, I have recieved my knife, it took four weeks to get here, and I know that is uncommonly long, but customs and others can really slow packages these days. I would wait and see what Oli has to say before taking measures eh?

Bonjour Leatherman.

Been on the KF too. I have discovered the trade today...

Unless Olivier Plomion got three Trakkers to sale, I can still forgive him...
Funny the little Sebenza he sales was exactly the same as the one he was intersted to trade for 5 monthes ago... go figure how naive I have been.

I know Olivier Plomion was moving from Denmark to France last week end. (He told me...) Since their is no news.
So, i'll give him more time to plug himself on the net.

Again, my case did not involved any money. So I believe I am the lucky one.

Best regards

JM

I'll stick with Dwayne on this one, I have had many trades with Oli and they have gone nothing but smoothly. I know you will all get your knives and that there is an explanation for this.

Oli is not a thief !!

:(

I'm not saying anyone did, it's just difficult to see someone you have great respect for and have absolute faith in getting slammed all over the web !!

This is an example of Oli's way of doing trades:

We traded on a Busse Public Defender and when the knife came to me, the sheath was a nice leather one but the tip of the knife stuck through the bottom of the sheath if you pushed it tight into the sheath. I mentioned this to Oli and he told me to contact a leathersmith he knows well in America and order a sheath I wanted and he would pick up the bill - he did this !!!

I was wrong..
You were the lucky one ! :D

Absence of proof is not proof of absence...

Well, according to paypal I have only 30 days to make a claim, It is awfully close to that right now. If the tracker does show up, I will gladly cancel my dipute with Oli and apologize.

Best of luck Cole, I hope this all gets done very soon. I've got my fingers crossed for you and all who are stuck in limbo because of this deal. Its not easy for any involved and I fully understand the frustration, I've been there. :(

I'm waiting for one as well from Oli. It has only been 3 weeks and I believe the norm can be up to 6 weeks. Oli has a great rep and I trust him implicitly. Moving is frenetic. Lets give the man time to get his house in order.

Where is Oliver now? Sure looks like he was a daily Poster here on BFC. I do remember something about his possibly entering his country's armed forces. maybe he is already gone?????

From what I was told it was going to take at least two weeks from the time he moved to the time he would be back online, in a perfect world that would be today, in a normal world it will probly take more.

btw, Hi wolfman! Hows things? :D long time no see!

I got two messages of Oli on my Mobile.
He said it was a misunderstanding with the Parisian Shop.
the Tracker he puts there was in fact for me.
and he was going there to talk with my friend Isidore.
(NEws from yesterday Friday 30th april)

I was not able to call him back (the number left on my mobile does not work...)
Today it's bank holiday in France.
I will be able to talk with the shop tuesday unless Olivier Plomion calls me before.

I'll let you know.

cheers

JM
