Eli, I've been enjoying this thread and your comments. Thanks for sharing here.

Case does (most often) make quality knives at a reasonable price. Occasionally their coloring might surprise you or they could have some minor defect but even then they're usually still a useful tool. Case also produces such a wide variety of knives that they are of great interest to collectors.
It's been nice to read what others are saying about their Case knives. And now, for the most part all that I can do to add to this thread, is to second some of those previous opinions.
Here are some pics of what is probably my top five Case users. All are equally good as an EDC so this list is compiled in the order that I have experienced them, (over a period of about five years).
Texas Jack (slightly modified)
Slim, useful blade combo, attractive
Swayback Jack
easy carry, cool design, a must have for the Case collector
Sowbelly (single blade)
a most comfortable knife both in use and in pocket, awesome blade design
Sodbuster Jr.
thin, capable, beautiful bone end to end
Mini-Trapper (improved)
great size, well finished, now with a super sharp wharncliffe!!!
There are several other fantastic Case knives worth mentioning such as the Peanut, Full-size Trapper and Large Stockman and so on but because they are outside my EDC size parameters they did not make this list.
Looking back on the short descriptions above, they come very close to being interchangeable from one knife to another (maybe not the wharncliffe statement). The descriptions are also a fairly accurate list of some of the characterics I look for in a pocket knife. I'm happy to have had this opportunity to show these often carried, greatly appreciated and highly favored pieces of Case cutlery. Hope you have enjoyed seeing them.
HAPPY NEW YEAR CASE FANS AND TO THE ENTIRE PORCH!!!
