Wasted my third guess coming back after a few hours not looking at it with a word that didn't really help any. Ironically, I had the letter pattern for the last three in my head since my second guess, but didn't see the word...

Vague hint for anyone still trying, in my case what confused me was having today's Wordle's homophone in my head. Stopped me from seeing it for quite some time.

It is funny to see what words come into mind. There have been days when folks solve in two or three when I wracked my brain to think of it in five or six; but then there are days like today when the word seems obvious to me but others have trouble seeing it. My record shows I’m not even close to being the best Wordle player here, so I know it isn’t intelligence or skill. It is a puzzler to me how our minds work in ways that can be so similar (word pattern recognition) yet different (word pattern intuition).

Yesterday, got stuck because every time "UNDUE" crossed my mind I was thinking "UNDO."

That's exactly what I was thinking . . .

I finally "googled" UNDUE and learned that it does not mean the same thing as UNDO and would be an acceptable answer.

I know that I have used UNDO incorrectly to mean UNDUE in the past. Lesson learned. I'll try not to make this mistake again!
