On Playing Wordle . . .

I got it in 4. After 3 turns I knew the last letter and one vowel. After thinking about the possible combinations with the remaining letters I guessed correctly.
 
Had to think about this one awhile after a failed brute force attempt to solve it.

People just love to "complain" on the Net about Wordle words that they can't solve. The complaint about this one is that it's too "British" but, even so, it's in the English dictionary LOL! ;)

It's not the 1st word that occured to me but it was the ONLY word that would work after GLOBE revealed 3 words in their proper positions and the only place left for the B was in the 1st position.

Need help figuring out how to cut/paste your board here? 🤔
 
Was hoping to clear all 4 boards in 5 tries after solving the 1st 2 in just 3 tries but only had 1 letter (in the green) on the 5th try and it took me 4 more tries to figure it out. :(

Quordle is a tough (but not impossible) game to play.

The strategy for me has been to try to actually guess the word w/the letters reavealed in order to avoid wasting "tries" but still choosing words likely to reveal more letters so that I'll be in a better position to solve later boards.

Try sending the "share" to any of your email addresses. If successful, you should see the board (in blank) posted in the email.

You can then clip/paste the board from there to here. At least that's what I do and it works for me.

BTW: Which browser are you using?

You should be able to do it better and more easily than that

I can "share" an image of the board w/myself and then cut and paste it w/Brave, Chrome or Explorer Edge here.

You should still be able to "share" an image of the board by sending it to yourself by email and then cut/paste the email image received here.

I can do that on my Android phone as well using Brave or Chrome as my browser.

That doesn't seem any easier than altering a screenshot and posting through an image sharing site.

I do appreciate your trying to help. My tech skills have a lot of gaps.

Just trying to help but cutting/pasting should be much easier to do (on your end) and view (on our end) that what you are currently doing.

But, whatever . . . just continue participating as long and in the manner you like. :)

FYI: I just noticed that Wordle has just been added to the Games feature in the NYT Online.

It's still free and there's no need to access it via NYT Online since it's still available to access directly via the Net but that may change over time.

Most people don't have free access to NYT Online and there could come a time when the direct website is disabled and the only way to access it is thru an NYT Online subscription. In that way, they could still say they're not charging specifically for Wordle but only charging you for access to the NYT.

A distinction w/o a difference but it would give them cover from people who have predicted that they will eventually charge for Wordle. :(

I'll still access it directly (for as long as I can) but I also like playing Spelling Bee, LetterBox and Sandoku on NYT Online which are also offered "free" on a limited basis; you have to pay more for "full accesss" to all game features.
