I just added 2 columns in my spreadsheet for the "Final NYT Average" and "WordleBot's Score" for each puzzle going back to Nov 7, 2022 when the NYT abandoned the original Wordle Word List and the newly appointed Wordle Editor started using a word list of her own design.

These are the comparative stats for me vs the NYT & WordleBot since that time:

PS: I will point out the obvious that you are doing well if you can average around 3.5. So, your objective does NOT need to be to score any less than a Birdie or Par (3 or 4) on each puzzle. Just Pars and Birdies will do.

A hole-in-one is a truly rare event and an Eagle 2 not much more likely. The main thing is to avoid scoring a Bogie 5, Double Bogie 6 or a Failing score of 7 because, it's really hard to make up any "over Par" scores with a Birdie 3 or lower.
