I had written out six possible words after my second guess. There was no way to rule out more than two at a time, but four of the six were somewhat slangy words, so I went with one of the two that was clearly not and picked the one that would have most annoyed me if I'd missed it and was successful.

Note: After today, I'm not going to list WordleBot's score here anymore.

The reason is that I've often thought that the bot's score was implausible given the choices available and its results for the last 2 puzzles just made it even more apparent. So, I'm just going to list the NYT "players' average which sets a more realistic standard for "performance" in the game.

Wordlebot always uses the same starting word, which was a very lucky pick yesterday.
I agree that the players average is a more useful number for judging results.

Tricky, but irritatingly I had thought of this word a while ago as being a good Wordle candidate and then it dropped out of my mind.
