C'mon it's a knife enthusiast website, gotta go with SEVER.

Actually, I chose SEVER based on my "most obscure word rule."

When faced with 2 or more choices, I'll pick the word that I think is the "most obscure" word on the theory that the correct word is likely to be the least common word. This "rule" works for me more often than not.

A shot in the dark w/only 1 yellow vowel and almost got it in 3.
2 more choices for the 4th guess and obscure word rule worked again.

The current NYT average is 4.7. So, it's a tough word.

The current NYT average is 4.3. So, moderately difficult.

Figured it had to be a double letter word. Didn't expect a triple.
Didn't even know PLUFF was a word.
Just typed it in at random and hit enter w/o thinking about it.
Still had to choose between FLUFF and BLUFF.
Used my obscure word rule to choose FLUFF.

The NYT average was 4.7. So, it baffled a lot of people.
