10/04/2022: Wordle 472 4/6
Only possible answer per WordleBot. Found the
letter patttern w/the 3rd guess but struggled to
fill it because I had difficulty recognizing the word.
The current NYT average for this puzzle is 4.3.

7 possibilities per WordleBot after the 2nd guess.
CLINK ONLY reduced the possibilities to 3 -- STING,
STINK & STINT. Considered each equally possible.
Went with STING because it was 1st alphabetically.
Just dumb luck. GLINT for the 3rd guess would have
reduced the possible answer to just STING but I didn't
want to ue the "T" twice. Hindsight is 20/20.
The final NYT average for this puzzle was 4.0.

Got a bit lucky here, but knowing where a vowel couldn't be made this one a lot easier. The luck came down to me realizing after the fact that there was actually another word with the same pattern and a duplicate consonant that I didn't think of, but fortunately my first guess was good.

The 3rd guess limited the possibilities to just 2 but it
still required a coin flip to save PAR.
All puzzles require both luck and skill. How much of
each varies based on the circumstances.
WordleBot rated the 3rd guess at 84 Skill and 50 Luck
and rated the 4th guess at 99 Skill and 75 Luck.
FYI, WordleBot uses a 100 point rating scale
for each separately, not 100% combined. I have no idea
how the ratings are calculated. The NYT does not reveal
that info but it does provide a way of comparing how
much skill vs luck was involved in a solution.
The current NYT average for this puzzle is 3.8.

of a time recognizing it as a "real" word, even after
I entered it in full in the grid and hit "enter."
The 3rd guess was rated: 88 Skill and 78 Luck. The 4th
guess was rated: 99 Skill and -- Luck. There was no
luck rating for the final guess because there was only
1 choice possible and only skill required for its solution.
The final NYT average for this puzzle was 4.3.

I considered both possibilities (this time) but chose the single consonant word because double consonant words are less common statistically.
