Wow! That looks awesome!!!
I'm glad you think so!
Man, I ain't lying when I say this is a knife I'd gladly keep for myself, it feels great in hand. Can't wait to put an edge on and cut some stuff.

That said this lil guy kicked my ass and I will be glad to retire this pattern for a while. I designed it in a pitch to a certain someone who manufactures knives using CNC. I don't even have a manual mill yet, so I have to get creative with my drill press. It's meant to be perfect as a machined product, but to get to that level by hand is just really hard for men . In part due to a relatively limited selection of efficient tools. There's a lot of stuff that I can do with what I have, but I feel like I could do more with more. My updated shop set up has yielded I think enough floor space for a proper but small milling machine. I'd like a disc sander with vfd, and maybe a bunch of attachments for my 2x72. There's a lot of cool tools available that would really speed up my work and give me better results with more ease. Ah, I'm rambling!

Cheers!

getting back to this kitchen knife. My hand sanding situation is greatly improved with my new vise. I discovered a handy way to keep my work in position without having to worry about stabbing myself in between sessions

FANTASTIC!

I get what you say about the bird series - ALBATROSS & CORMORANT - being too complex a pattern when limited to hand work but they surely are unique, very cool and importantly, serious knives. Truly Lorien Lorien originals that are stand outs in a world with lots of great knives.

Thank you, Ray- that's so kind of you to say!
All the best to you, my friend 😁 Thank you for your support!

I think I'll need some magic with that M4!

yoinked the whack lighting from our bathroom a couple years ago, but I kept it because I'm a hoarder lol. Wife thinks so anyway.
well, turns out it's the perfect fixture for my finishing area- no missing any scratches now!

working on Vik's knife.

got yoko yoko 's Governator heat treated yesterday. I'm starting to feel the urge to spend a few hours at the grinder, been a minute. This one is gonna be fun, super narrow bevel angles and thin stock. She'll slice and dice!
