The guy were purchasing from is very new- most likely just overly nervous and seeing problems where there were none.
People read the threads in this sub forum(which is good), but then feel that there is a thief behind every transaction which is not even close to the case. Knife buyers are extremely honest as a group. I doubt you will have any problems in the future.
