On the Road Again with Merle

Good to know they’re not all bad. 🙂 That certainly looks like a decent pub. 🍺
It has the atmosphere of a mid-priced hotel lobby, during a Covid lockdown, but the beer is decent, the beer garden well-maintained, and it's clean, tidy, and friendly :) 👍
Solid pairing. 😎
Thanks Barrett 🙂👍
Fantastic pics of the countryside!:thumbsup:

Another excellent tour, Jack. Thanks again for taking part and showing Merle (and the rest of us) such a good time.:thumbsup:

Hopefully that curse gets lost somewhere around the Lake District… 😉
Thanks again mate 😁👍
You were an excellent host Mr. Jack and thank you for the tour with Merle !   😍

Thank you for sharing your travels with us

Great tour Jack! Thanks for the stream shots. 😊👍

Very cool tour Jack!

Thanks guys, really appreciate it 🙂👍

Thank you again Jack for the wonderful visit with Merle. Why is there a "lack of trains"?
Thanks Dwight, there is a national rail strike this week, so barely any trains running 👍

Merle is on his way 'up the road' to Scotland, and is due to arrive tomorrow :)

Here's the video John, I think the bald guy is more at home in Eastern Europe, he doesn't seem to have travelled much at home! :D

Had some time last night so I gave this a watch. That was, uh… quite a tour. 😳😁

🤣🤣

They’ll be using that quote on their website (if they have one). 😉

What a waste of fuel, considering all the places they could have visited, with just a little thought. They didn't even explore the few towns they DID visit! 🤨 😆

LOL! :D It was a real shame they had to close during the first lockdown here, there are 4 large rooms inside, 3 outside drinking areas, and on my first visit, when the lockdown ended, I had all that to myself! :D

I sure did enjoy that pint! :)

Well he has made it in super fast time.
Welcome to Glasgow, Merle!!🥃
A few introductions to the 86 family and Ellie of course, who, I am afraid, is oblivious to whose company she is in!

Here he is with a couple of medals I was recently awarded. From left to right - Long service (and good conduct😂) for 20 (currently 22) years in the Scottish Fire & Rescue Service, Queens Platinum Jubilee presented to serving members of the emergency services and armed forces and of course the Porchenburg Medal of Honor.

I can report that Merle is in great condition and not too weary after his exploits so far, although I need to fight the temptation to give him a polish.

Pretty fine set of mammoth ivory scales there that Merle was reclining on. What are some of his tour plans while there? The Trossachs and Lock Katrine are a fav.

An offcut from a build I had done last year, just enough left for a re-cover on something else once I get round it.
Yes Dave, we will venture through Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park and see if we can get up a Ben or two. Loch Lomond is only 30 mins from me in the north of Glasgow.
