On the Road Again with Merle

Merle and I, sharing a tasting at the best pub around 😁. A cask strength rye, a smoked rum, and a 10 year Speyside.

Great looking setup you’ve got there, Dylan! By the time he’s done with his travels, I imagine Merle will be well-versed in a variety of alcoholic beverages. 😁

Another shot with Merle getting introduced to the pack. (Sorry, it is not easy getting these guys to sit still and the promise that Merle is "edible" only lasts so long...)

That really funny Dylan. Did you use Merle to cut up some actual treats for them? 😊👍

I did indeed.

They were pretty patient too.

Oops, spoke too soon - Charlie is being a bit naughty.

In his defense, the look that Charlie’s giving you in the first photo says to me, “If you don’t stop taking pictures and give me some of that soon, I’m just gonna get it myself!” 😁

My bar continues to be a bit of a work in progress. Took it upon myself to mount this Springfield this evening - Merle was on standby in case anything needed cutting.

Your bar looks great, Dylan!

Your posts also reminded me of the recurring argument in Shaun of the Dead about whether the rifle above the bar in the pub, The Winchester, is real or not. Ed insists that it is, because “Big Al” says so, to which Shaun replies, “Yeah, well, Big Al also says dogs can’t look up.” 😁

Ahooooyy btb01 btb01 Scribe ye my name to the list also...and if it be Neptunes will he will cross the sea.... a Spanish ounce* to him who first calls out "Merle Ho" across ye briny foam.

*could be an ounce of paella...or anything.

Cheers.

You’re on the list! Happy to add another international stop (not to mention a new country, continent and hemisphere) to the international leg of Merle’s tour. 😎
