So far a few packages and some apples have been it's main victims!

I'm waiting, popcorn in hand, for the story on how you use your 110 to protect yourself from the rampaging hordes of rabid zombies that storm your property and . . . oh, wait a minute. Wrong forum.

I bet a 110 could handle that though.

thx - cpr

We already got all of them, just a few dyslexic mutant ninja lizards around!

I`ve been in your neck of the woods, and still saw a couple of zombies! All kidding aside, this looks like it will be an exciting experiment. I always carry the same knife, but others accompany it, can`t do just one.

Good luck,
John

Good luck Bro.! I trust in my 110. However I know I would be so tempted within a years time to grab others from my collection. I'll be patiantly awaiting your reports. Great idea and once again "GOOD LUCK!" M

Bear, While traveling around I encounter many men who have owned only one Buck a 110 for 35yrs or more. They inform me, "if it can do all this I don't need another knife".
So, there are other men who quitely live out their lives differently than many here,-- doing just fine with just one. They probably have some different understanding about knives than us. DM

Cool plan Bear Claw!

How do you carry your 110? The horizontal option with the nylon sheath is my favorite to take hiking.:)

How's the experiment going? I'd like to follow your journey. Is the plan to keep this thread alive or start a new one?

Probably keep it all here.

So far just normal stuff, nothing to wild. Bolsters are starting to darken as brass will do with pocket carry.

Good luck with that and will say I couldn't do it. I carry my 110 almost daily but usually have three or four different knives for different chores. It's hard to break olde habits. I feel naked if I don't have an array. With that said, we're going on our North Island camping trip in Aug. and in Sept. I will be hunting antelope in WY and intend to gut my antelope with a 110 so will be wearing the 110 most of the summer. I'll be taking the Randall #25 but the 110 is going to get the nod. 28 bucks is a good price for the new 110. The PX has them for 32 bucks. I've been carrying a, like new, two dot finger groove I just got on ebay for 16 bucks and love it. The finger groove that Buck just put a new blade on is just so pretty, I hate to use it. Enough drivel. Good luck with your project and will be following right along.

BJ

B.S. You know, I still carry that Rat 1 almost every day, as well.

I understand there have been several cougar attacks on the North Island this summer and a knife will be my only means of self defense should something drastic happen. The chances are slim but you never know.

Good for you. I've carried a 110 for almost a full year straight, but somehow the 55 has found its way into my pocket in recent days. Just time for a slight change i guess.

I carried a micarta 501 just over thirty years in the right front rain or shine! I think the year will pass quickly and the knife ready for more, Bear.
Ya' know what they say about the one-gun rifleman, right?

Dave

will we be getting weekly reports or simi weekly or when ever some thing happens?

Haven't totally decided, most of my knife use ain't the makings of epic tales, so monthly might be enough or if something major comes along.

BTW, another friend from High School, don't think I'll make a year either!!!

:D

Just before you started this thread I started to make the Buck 110 part of my EDC (I carry two other knives also, most of the time, BTW) because I own a few of these and I'm trying to stop making so many in my collection Safe Queens, by getting some enjoyment in making them users.

I wouldn't worry about the stories about fighting a mountain lion with your Buck 110:eek:, (even thought interesting:D) I think most who read this thread would like hear some of the everyday chores that you use the knife for.

Keep up the good work Chris. I'm looking forward to reading your progress.
