One edc folder for the rest of the year

Well for the first week of 2017 I decided to go with my imperial h6 on my belt so the recruit is still in my pocket.

I have to say, they make a pretty good pair. Next week I'll see how well it pairs up with my sog seal pup, ( won't be any pics as its not traditional ) then after that the recruit will finally get a break when my other folders get paired with a vic classic.

Ya know bud, you keep it up and you may find out that a SAK in the pocket is all you need. You'll start to look at those 'other' knives in a different way. Be careful of the SAK's, they can be habit forming. And the Vic classic is a beguiling little keychain size package.

If I didn't need pliers or miss patina , the vic recruit probably would be all I need and sort of is as I don't consider the leatherman to be a knife.
In many ways it will be hard to take the vic recruit out of my pocket, but in other ways I can't wait because I keep missing my other folders. I've really been missing my imperial Barlow, and every time I see that vic pocket pal sitting there it keeps begging me for a ride in my pocket.

X - been in my pocket since Christmas and I don't see it leaving anytime soon barring day/task specific needs coming up now and again. by -FA_Tre-

Looking back on 2016.....

I carried my T. Davison more than any other knife. About 7 months total. It is my first custom, and it was worth every penny.

When the forum knife arrived, I gave it a try, and was very happy. What a great knife.
Between the two, they have taken up over 90 % of my pocket time. Sometimes I wonder why I have 60 +/- knives ???

My first fascination with knives was with the Swiss Army knives that were in the utility drawer in my parents house. It was the memories of those knives that pulled me back into traditional knives. For years I carried custom/handmade knives - but I was gifted this classic red cadet at work and the memories came flooding back. The simplicity and craftsmanship in these highly capable tools is undeniable to me... And since, the masterfully made knives sit on display while the cadet lives in my pocket...and I don't see myself changing that anytime soon.

If I had to carry one for a year I think it would have to be a stockman... three blade that would cover all my needs. for a one blade knife it would be a 92 talon wharnie. That the great thing that I love about this little hobby, I don't have to choose just one!

Just got a Mora 711 yesterday from a members recent gaw, so I'm now edcing it on my belt with the recruit still in my pocket.
I'm not sure weather the recruit was a Christmas present or a birthday present, but I guess it's a birthday present enough for today since I'm not actually receiving any birthday gifts today. ( a few things were early, and the rest will be late )
I almost wish the Mora had arrived today so I'd have something to unwrap ,but what can you do 😏

Good way to start a birthday.
Have a great one!

Thanks guys
The funny thing is that my birthday actually started with having to give my dog a bath because she rolled around in something " brown and stinky " 💩💩
