One knife for the rest of your life

That's a tough question as I don't; know what I will be doing or wearing for the rest of my life.

That said, I stress over not having a SAK, a Becker fixed blade or a stout folder such as the Cold Steel AD-10 that I adore.

So, Depending on what I'm doing or wearing or wear I will be, I'd say it coul d be a SAK, a BK-2 (indestructible and good blade shape) or perhaps a CS AD-10 or a Sebenza or a 4-Max or ???

It's really a tough question.

One work life knife
One home life knife
One out and about life knife
One shorts life knife
One winter life knife

I think I could narrow it down to those....

Every time I narrow my collection down with the intent to carry and use fewer knives I find myself liking and enjoying different kinds of knives. I would love to only have and use one knife but I enjoy experiencing new things too much it seems.

I aspire to be like GatorMedic GatorMedic who actually reduced to 1 knife but I can't seem to get there at this stage of my life and that's OK.

Do SAKs and Multitools count? If so then it would probably have to be a SwissTool Spirit or Leatherman Wave

If SAKs and Multitools aren’t considered knives for this purpose, then Shirogorov Neon

I have 4 major categories I drop my knives into. Full size, small, Sak, multi tool. So for me it would be.
1. Full size, Benchmade Griptilian or Rift.
2. Small, Benchmade Mini Grip.
3. SAK, Super Tinker or Fieldmaster, any full size with scissors.
4. MT, Leatherman 300 or Core, really any full size Leatherman.

If I was really forced to One knife then I'd get a Victorinox Rescue or one of the Army models with the large locking blade and plenty of other tools.

Edit: I forgot a fixed blade, and it would be a Mora Companion. I have larger & more expensive knives but a Mora will do it all and they are hands down the best value in outdoor knives, and for the price of lunch you can get another.
