One Knife Only

Actually that 1311 might not be a bad choice. It is heavy enough for all the chopping you'd ever want to do. For the fine tasks you'd be pressed a bit though. In a pinch, this machete could probably just about do it all. For me, I'd select something along the 'machete' line. For years I made great use of the Ontario 18 inch machete, of course, the edge has been somewhat refined and kept exceedingly sharp, more keen than most normal machetes. With the thin profile, you can cut cardboard if need be, slice and dice away with aplomb. Going to be hard to best the machete concept.
