Tough one.
I would go with a fixed blade for sure.

This is ....awful. I think I have been ruined for "good" knives. Since removing the serrations from my Victorinox One Hand Trailmaster, it is ALL I ever carry now. OH...other than my lil bitty SAK with the file and scissors in back pocket.
I thought I had found the PERFECT knife for my uses with the Spydie Native III but after getting used to NOT having to search for screwdrivers, etc. I feel that I may NEVER carry anything else.
Just the other day I used the saw to notch some PVC to hold up a sapling. I have pulled more crap outta my skin and others with those silly but ...wonderful....tweezers than I would ever imagine.
Yeh, the blade needs touching up a bit more but cuts like a scalpel when I re-do it.
I was lookin at the Native today and trying to figger out if altering the clip so it would hang on BELT would make me carry it again. Haven't done it yet.
