Which knife would I want in a apocalyptic event hmmm good question part of me just wants to take a Stockman or trapper that’s what they got by with way back when. Good for all your cutting tasks. Easy to sharpen on just about anything. Probably won’t need a fixed blade bc hatchets and such. A pocket knife would do me just fine.

Other part wants one of my XM-18s probably the Spanto. I’d be happy with either but a Stockman sounds pretty good. Specifically would go with my favorite Stockman atm the #82 Dixie but I could also go with a large Case or Böker.

I just got this one in. It is a Fox Golok. I always wanted a good sized chopper and I loved this style of blade. Comes with a great sheath.

I had one of those and got rid of it. Wasn’t heavy enough to be a chopper.
And was mediocre as a knife. I also thought the sheath was overkill.
If I could only take one knife it would probably be my kukri.

Let's face it, if the world is ending, I think we've surpassed the point where "clothing optional" is a big concern.

That moment when you have the need to survive will come unexpected. Most likely at the worst possible time for each of us. If we don't have immediate access to the knife of our choice, we will have to make do with what is on our belt or in our pocket. I always have a Leatherman Wave in a belt pouch and a folder in my pocket.

The knife in my b.o.b. currently is a Cold Steel SRK. Thinking about getting am ESEE 4 to replace it. Also have a multi-tool in the pack, and would have my edc knives on me already. So four or five blades should be enough for the apocalypse.

Not really sure what I would take. I have a Benchmade 162 Bushcraft knife. Maybe that.

A multi-tool would be nice too. Can I take one of those? Leatherman Wave or Gerber MP-600 scout would be my choice. I have those. Gotta go with what you have.
