A quality sheath is key—Mark Condos knows his stuff:

Oversize beltloop lets knife shift out of the way when you sit:

Strong, light and thin—feels virtually weightless on belt:
attachment.php

Sheath design rides with handle face at the top of the belt, obscured by pack belt and arm, largely unnoticeable. Does not shift or flop around if you have to move quickly. Friction retention only makes knife very fast to deploy.

In tan Res-C w/Condos natural leather/beeswax finish:

Pair and a spare:

Preferred carry combo--Busse & Brown:

Foo, specs and discussion on the War Feather design start in post 5052, page 253 (std 20 posts per page format) of the B8 thread and run (off and on) through several pages beyond that. The work was all done by Garth. Thanks for the compliment--means a lot coming from you, bro'.

What knife is that to the left of the black/black B11? Euro 6?

Yes, Bladeshow spesial, one of a kind, maybe a few more, not sure...done in a serie with a B-7 and a B-9. All have the new type of handles but made off and with old school specs..

Nice array, Ragsy!!!

Thanks Will, But NOTHING beats Your War Feathers!!!:thumbup::thumbup:

That is awesome Will... Very nice design. Garth is a master on the grinder. :)
And I love your influence on the sheaths for them as well!

I believe we all have you to thank for the Great B8... Your dedication and persistence made this one a reality!
It was a loooong road, but well worth the wait.

And kudos to Stumpy for bestowing an awesome name upon your beauties! War Feather is very fitting. :D

Thanks Foo--much appreciated! :D

Garth and Mark Condos turned a highly functional piece into a work of art, AFAIC.

This community's support for the B8 was, and still is, phenomenal. One of Jerry's all-time All Stars.

I love the axe too :D
I regret selling mine ... :(
One of the most comfortable handles ive ever used

No regrets remember?!?!? Especially when you can still buy another one today! DO IT!

I sold my first one too but only now do I realize what a big mistake that was. Now I own both an le and cg model and still might buy another one to throw in the car.

Pics to keep it interesting:

Good god man... You're lucky you made it outta there alive!
Good thing you had your skinny ash to fight off the jumping cactus out there!!! :D :D

Ha! Thanks guys... don't underestimate the jumping cholla! Nasty buggers. The desert was just starting to bloom, but it was very windy so temps were low... which kept the rattlers in their dens. When we hike there during warmer months the snakes, tarantulas, bats, and all other type critters are out and about. I did climb up some big boulders and found some hidden paths between rock formations--lots of coyote tracks there, and generally all about.

But yeah, it's pretty safe... my bigger worry was making sure one of my kids (I have four) didn't get hurt climbing rocks.
