One Life, One Knife....

Gary Graley and knifepuppet. Please stop posting pictures of those extraordinarily beautiful William Henry knives. You're making me extremely jealous! Stop now or I'll report you to the moderators for inciting covetousness! :) :) :)

All kidding aside, those are some very nice knives, fellas.

Cool Thread.

My one folder for everything and the SHTF option is the Spyderco Chinook I (not II). Tough, strong, ergos that give a comfortable and robust feel in hand and a lock back (one of my fav and trusted locks); I'd feel 'sfe' with this one anywhere.

p.s. That William Henry is a great looking knife.

I'd have to say my Microtech LCC M/A would be the one I'd grab in a SHTF situation. It's by far the toughest production folder I've ever handled.

A month ago, my answer would have been my numbered, custom engraved Sebenza, now I'd probably go with my Strider SnG, but I've got a ZT301 coming next week, so the answer might change.:) Ask again in a few weeks, it might be different again... Being a Knifeaholic, you can't just have one. It is entirely possible I might burn to death deciding which one knife to bring out with me!

humm? Spyderco Endura SS, it just keep on cutting so nicely
my Howling Rat would nice to have in a pinch

I'd have to go with the millie. Gets the job done... although once I get my manix I'll let you know if I change my mind...

Hmmm a folder I'd chose either ZDP delica or M2 ritter grip.

For a fixed I'd grab either Ritter fixed or kershaw outcast.

If SHTF really happen to me:

Folder: Spyderco Chinook II
Fixed: Benchmade Nimravus in M2
add Leatherman Charge to them.... Cheers!

For a folder, I would choose either my large Sebenza or Benchmade 805, I often have both on me anyway. Sebenza because to small moving parts to foul and simplicity and ruggedness; 805 TSEK because I love the ergonomics and have completely bonded with this one as well.

For a fixed blade, I own only 2 that I would consider as bug-out blade; Benchmade Nimravus or SOG Tsunami. Probably choose the Tsunami as I like the ergos better. But if I owned a CRK Green Beret I would take that.

one year old son + wife, given a chance ray kirk's hardwirk fixed blade + large sebbie. Most probably I would end up with only the delica 4 which is clipped inside my pants..........(and the family)

Folder would be 710 in D2

fixed would be BM 156 CSK.

and I just wanted to note that the handle of outlaw918692000's Strider is sitting one of my favorite albums, you have good taste sir.

The bayonet on my SKS folds down against the stock. Does that count as a "folder". If so, I'd grab that one if it was an "end of the world" type thing. ;)

If not, then probably my Manix. It's a hard call between that one and a half dozen others but the Manix also has a nice custom leather "friction" sheath so that might tip the scales in its favor.

If we are talking a house fire I'm mainly worried about the family and animals as someone else already stated.Anything material can be replaced with a like item or substitute. If we are talking an actual SHTF situation then I'm grabbing a Vic. Soldier and a Kabar already in the BOB along with other misc. items.YMMV.tom.

House on fire?

Easy!

Busse SHBA and a Lg Classic Sebbie, since there are what's on my belt at the present.

Anything else? Perhaps it didn't melt in the fire. LOL

I'd still have my favorite fixed and folder, unless I got melted too.
