One of the sharpest knives i've ever seen!

Cutting bottles is not as easy as it looks, I can do one with my Manix2 and yeah it's fun but it's also wasteful.

To the age thing:
I am 15 aswell and I have some higher end knives not Sebenzas or Striders but I have some nice Spydercos and Benchmades. And at this day and age you can get a TON of value for your money in the knife world. For example, you can get a Buck Vantage Pro for like what $50? For that $50 you get Paul Bos heat treated S30v and nice G10 a great value in anybodys book. But I do agree with all the people who say you should save. I have saved up for the things that I wanted and I have been very very happy with all the things i've gotten.

Good choice, you before you spend money on collector knives i'd pick up a nice EDC knife that you won't be afraid to use.

Well i already have knives that are like high end knives, just affordable ones. Like i have a kershaw zing, CS recon 1, sog flash 2, etc.. I jst don't have any REALLY good ones.

Seems quite a few of my vids have made the forums lately & I've only spotted them by chance while reading a few threads. :)
Anyways about the vid.. I used to be interested in katanas a few years back and learned of bottle cutting through Sword Forum International. I never really got into cutting much with a sword just because people recommended finding a school to get proper training, altough I did do a little. For this vid I wasnt really hoping to show off sharpness or technique, I just thought it'd be fun and knew atleast some people would watch. Bottle cutting is not something I practice & each vid was my first attempt at doing so.

However just in the last month after hearing of the new benchmade cpm-m4 chopper I ran across www.bladesports.org and to my surprise learned that people do this for sport.
Heres a vid of a bladesports competitor cutting 20 bottles which I guess is a record..

About the knife though, it does seem that blade geometry, grind, and thickness are probably the most important thing contributing to the smooth cut & not knocking over the bottles, although hitting them right and sharpness also are important. You could probably do just as good or better with a large chefs knife or santoku, just because they're soo thin.:p Perhaps this summer I'll try some cuts with a .24" Fallkniven A1 or a khukuri. Again, just for fun & because I know atleast someone out there will watch to see the results. :p My 16 bottle cutting vid might actually break 100,000 views this month.:D
