The reason identity theft is the fastest growing crime in America is that it is the easiest one for a criminal to get away with. Law enforcement in this area is nearly non existent.
My personal thanks to the Payson, AZ police and the Gila County Attorney. They prosecuted one of the many credit card frauds that I have paid for over the years and part of the sentence is full restitution. They are going to send me a check for what the cretin stole from me.
We've been selling knives on the internet since 1997 and I've paid for fraudulent credit card transactions to the tune of six figures in that time. This is the very first time I've ever had a restitution except for one instance in which I collected one personally (that was an unpleasant day.)
Thumbs up to one of the few areas in the country where it is dangerous to engage in identity theft.
