One? Two? Three? More than three?

C-like-a K: somebody has to have made a stockman like that, somewhere along the way, don't they? If not a custom build, mebbe some one could mod a knife for you, either reprofiling a blade, or subbing in an existing one. Case has some good examples of stockmen for sale now that have punches, on their '318 frame. Don't forget to check out cattlemen stockmen too, lots of them have a blade selection you'd like. For some reason today I'm carrying two, an equal end spear main, and a large hoofpick style.
Obviously I like multiblade knives, but I do enjoy single blades too. One thing that I like does stand out to me, which is a preference for a lock on single blades I carry. I certainly have non-locking knives, it's just hard for me to carry a single blade without it. Don't have a split-back whittler or congress, but that'll change at some point. :D
Thanks, Neal

How many blades do you prefer in a traditional knife for EDC? Do you prefer a SAK/camp knife? What about a stockman? Whittler? Congress? Good old trapper?

After spending years and $ on modern one handed openers, I have had a hard time shaking my appreciation of single blades. Except for a 14 Lick Creek boys knife, and my peanut, okay, and my Case Bose coffin jack, what the hell, my olive SAK cadet, I mainly carry single blades. My ever present Tribal Spear, sometimes my LC from Case and Tracy Larock, others. I'm pretty sure I've asked this before, but I am requesting pictures again.

Yes. :)

Jake, looks like Robby the Robot with his hackles up! :D

Don't ever mention Robby's weight.

Beautiful knife.

I have found that I like having 2 blades ( I don't consider the digits of an mfk to be blades ) , one large and one small such as a Barlow , or equal end such as cigar pattern or pen knife. I will mainly use the primary blade but the secondary can come in handy and they usually go unnoticed which isn't always the case when you've got 2 full sized blades.
I have no problem with single blades like my 110, but I really do like the extra little blade that's there if I need it.
