With plenty of change left for extra straps:D

Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical would work as well (as would subbing in a Large Sebenza.)
Nice! I got one of these last year and honetly it's stopped me from getting more expensive watches since it's so cool. I look at a new watch and if it won't bump this I keep walking.

I've been through hundreds of watches and to a lesser degree knives. If $1K was my budget..maybe these two which I am very happy with. Would place you under budget...The Hamilton is classic and can be picked up for under $400 with a Retail of $745.00

The 2 Saints Paris folder Made in France, it's around $500.00 with very competitive prices in the US. 3.7 inch blade and flips with ZERO wrist action, under 5oz and feels as nice as a Holt Specter.

Pretty much what I spent a few years ago on my current EDC set-up.

Victorinox Officer's Automatic 241371, Victorinox Cadet, CRK Small Sebenza 21 Insingo

If I had to start over today, the only thing that would change is the watch since mine's been disco'd. I'd buy another Vic or maybe a Tissot.

You could also look at some of the newer micro brands using OEM Seiko movements . As much as I love Seiko , some of the micro brands are very tempting for the price and specs.

Ah, disregard - I see now in the OP, stated budget was 1k total.

OP: for the watch, recommend you decide whether you want an Automatic watch first. That will drive better recommendations. For example, I would recommend a Garmin Fenix if (non-automatic) / smart watch. IF you want auto, you will be significantly limited by the $1k overall budget. If budget its fixed and auto is the preference, you might take a look at Marathon GSAR for around $600-$700 and then pick up a used CRK PJ Sebenza for around 300-400. That would be a very solid pair for sure.

Well no disrespect to watch enthusiasts, But a Casio that tells time and an Awesome Blade (-:

I would get a CRK Mnandi, and let one of you Seiko experts help me buy a watch. I’m in the dark about watches. Something nice to go with the CRK.
