Only One CRK?

This would have been a bit of a hard question before, but i am certain now that my small mammoth bark inlay sebenza 21 would be the one i would choose.

I love the large sebenza, but there are other knives in that size that i like more.

For a three inch blade i haven't quite found any other knife that could fill the place of my small sebenza, my william henry comes damn near close though.

Amazingly, as much as I disliked this knife when pic's first were posted, today it would be my one-and-only should that be necessary (shudder):

So this is really for real? Sorry to say, but I almost feel like this is a psychology experiment to see if CRK fans will accept almost anything CRK puts out. Sorry to sound so negative - I'll stop commenting on this knife now.

I never would have imagined this. Haha. I'm glad folks like it.

ya know folks this is the conundrum I'm in. I don't have a CRK and am looking to purchase one I have been convinced a CRK is all I need. now the ? is which one. I am not a collector I'm a user and I follow the rule of "Use it up wear it out make do or do without." so I will only be making this purchase probably once.

So here it is. My CRK choice.

I posted a question in a review comparing the 21 to the 25 and the reviewer pointed out some good points and it got me to thinking. My choice would be a knife appropriately name apex or summit in a cool sounding word from a different language. Enter the "Isiqongo" Im no linguist but I think that word is Zulu..

It would essentially be a Sebanza 21 except for a few modifications. First take a 21 and modify it with the ceramic detent interface of the 25 keeping the 21 bushing pivot.

Second I would keep the single finger groove though changing it to match the 25's first finger groove angle.

Third I would use the blade profile and large hollow grind of the 25 but do the grind on the 21's blade stock. This i think would be a step closer to perfect. though it seems the CRK are 98% perfect there is still 2% to work with.

Yes I have a sickness...called "Indecisiveness." or "Lackoffunds" disease

Large Regular. That is the best edc ever made IMO. I wish some of the newer "Young Blood" could experience what I did the first time I held one. I instantly fell in love with it and that is not to say that I haven't tried almost every configuration along the way, but for me, the large Regular "plain jane" just can't get any better.

One of my Micarta 25s, hands down. I bought the right-handed version first, and prefer the stonewash on it better than the lefty one I bought a few months ago. So it would be a toss up between which one. If the lefty had the same stonewash it would be that one no question.

Good thing is I use it for everything since I don't worry about the stonewash on it. :)

Small 21 Insingo Micarta. Easy to EDC, razor sharp, stout as can be.

Thanks,

Ralph

Large Plain 21 Raindrop

I long ago decided that this would be the last one I believe would ever get rid of:

Why? These reasons:

1) Large
2) 1997 Regular
3) Unique Graphic that I like
4) Artwork carved and anodized by Chris Reeve (verified)
5) BG-42 Blade hand-ground back in the '90's

The pinnacle of the Sebenza line in my mind. This will probably be buried with me.

OMG. this one for the win....

Probably my favorite one... KnifeArt exclusive - Small Sebenza 21 Black Carbon Fiber w/ DT Raindrop Damascus...
