Thank you for you kind words.... I know My daughter will Love it!
It really is pretty awesome for a first knife.

My thoughts are slowly changing on this.....?
I do understand you first and foremost wanted to be True and respectful of this designs past!
The more I think about it, you weren't trying to make it better. You wanted us to get to the closest experience that the original knife gives.
The knife isn't meant to be fancy, and it more than likely Couldn't be.... Times were difficult then, and people were poor.
Its a working knife, not a showpiece.

My expectations are from being spoiled in todays need for gratification culture.

I'd LOVE your more personal, take and history that this knife brings. I'm sure you know more about it than just about anyone. :)

Please understand, I do think it's a pretty cool blade, and I have some ideas with the hardware that will personalize it just right! I'll post them, obviously once I do it.

Thanks again, Mr. Becker for being so involved with everyone here, and Everything.

Kiss ass. :D

I wanna see some pics!

I couldn't work the camera one-handed, I did think about it though....hahah
idk if that would be appropriate here?

In a couple days I can take off the bandages, and I'll shoot some then.... It was pretty gory though. The Doctor was pulling and stretching me open showing me all sorts of parts, inside my hand. :/

We're all knife nuts here, a little carnage that comes with the hobby ain't gonna hurt nobody!

I started a thread last year or more ago. Cant find It!!!! Pictures of injuries from knives. I thought about it whilst I was in the emergency room getting 12 stitches. My wife reluctantly took the pictures. Deep down she is an enabler lol

Very sorry to hear about your mishap. In 30 years of kitchen work I only had to go to an ER once. OTOH, my finger tips are so scarred a cop taking my prints once for a firearm permit scowled at me and said I didn't have any and what did I do to get them that way! My first thought was about pineapple workers, since debunked.

Bk62
I literally never even cut paper with it....
I purchased this for my daughter, her first knife, and I wanted Her to use it first!!! :)

With my previous two Becker's, I fondled them for maybe a few minutes, then raced out into the backyard to pound them through big logs.... Not this one yet..... It's Her's and she Will.

So...... I've been sanding, and getting the finish better. Oiling too.
And It happened. Just got back from urgent care........ Seven stiches!
I never complained that it wasn't sharp. Haha. Ugh!

Generally those knives that bite us are the ones we love for some reason. Probably because we get excited a d careless with them or carry them often enough until getting cut is inevitable.

I'd make fun of one too! :p
(I also know I need to be respectful in the lions den, haha)
This IS your place.... I'm new.
It's kind of an ongoing joke around here. Moosez45, a moderator that stops in about once per year now, called me a kiss ass every time I responded in kind to Ethan when I was new, so I'm just carrying the torch, so to speak. :D
