Oops! First blood.....

Hey Crag.....

You hit my philosophical position on this blade pretty exactly...... This knife design is over a century old...... Horace Kephart got this blade sooo right and given the technology available to him he go that right too. The Colclesser Brothers were one of the best around.... I have been privileged to handle literally thousands of blades from cheap, poorly designed Paki junk made from badly reprocessed bean cans to museum quality swords made by master smiths of antiquity..... Some blades have very little to teach and some are a PhD dissertation....This blade, for me was a series of lectures I wanted to share...

It will grow on you....

Btw.... I hate those anatomy lessons when I am the one in the dissecting tray.....LOL ....e

That's interesting...I seriously wonder if blade shape factors in? I've never cut myself this bad before, and I really don't know what I did?
I was just wiping the handle off.... somehow I think the towel must of snagged the blade's edge, pulling the back of my hand into it? It happened so quick and it's So sharp that idk even if I actually made a cut, or just bumped my hand somewhere else on the knife? Until I looked....haha.

It could be the blade shape, makes more sense than my theory about an evil demon living in it.

Sorry you got cut. In a glass-half-full sorta way ... you could have the first documented set of stitches from a First Run BK62.
Bona fide!
Congrats?!?!? Lol
Generally those knives that bite us are the ones we love for some reason. Probably because we get excited a d careless with them or carry them often enough until getting cut is inevitable.
Back in June, while playing with kydex, my BK9 got me. I eventually stopped the bleeding and slathered on New Skin.

It still being a surprise gift, makes not talking about it publicly more difficult.......so instead of holding The knife, I'm finishing up a holiday pint.....

My mom always said she hated being grateful for the negative but, that said, you were damn lucky to have not gotten some serious damage done...I am very unhappy that you got Knife bit but very glad that you You appear to have found an excellent “seamstress”... A very workmanlike job.... Should heal nicely..... Happy Thanksgiving..... e

With all your effort's, she cuts clean, straight, and easy......haha

I really just barely tapped her, I have No idea how it went so deep! ;)

*Idk if I'm proud to be bitten by This knife....or weirded out that some of you guys are jealous that it happened to me!

"Woohoo"..... at a job Many Many years ago.
It was a small machine shop, with many hired ladies. For some reason the bathrooms didn't have sinks, only large basin sinks outside the restrooms. Probably just so you can wash any oil off your hands before ya go.....

I had hot peppers with my sandwich for lunch maybe a good half hour before. Then I got this strange feeling... Then it became apparent what I had done.... :/

The burning got worse and worse. It was Horrible! Idk what to do? I started to panic.
I eventually walked over to the wash bins...... Standing in front of them, melting and knowing I was about to be fired, definitely embarrassed, I knew what I had to do....
